Good day all,
just a quick one.
Have any of you heard the Wharfdale MX118B - band pass bass bin
Do any of you fancy band pass bass bins.
What are the pro's & con's of these type of bins

They usually have a narrow frequency range with them dropping off pretty quick outside of this frequency sweet spot, they also tend not to sound very musical but can get loud. The bandpass design is basically a reflex speaker playing into a ported chamber, if the rear chamber is sealed then it's known as a 4th order bandpass while if the rear chamber is ported then it's known as a 6th order bandpass. I would say you would be better served going for a decent reflex sub such as a JBL SRX 118 if they're available where you're located.

They can be loud but they tend to be one-note wonders. What does the manufacturers SPL chart show?

No response chart, just the manufacturers spec sheet. It's barely a subwoofer. Only goes down to 45Hz.

No response chart, just the manufacturers spec sheet.
No chart, no sale. There are only two reasons for there not being a chart. One is that they don't have any, the other is that they do but don't want you to see it. Both serve as reasons for summary rejection.
