Ever since 8th grade, music has been nearly my life. Going to an art school, not even many people who major in music quite understand my picky tastes.

I like to settle for the best, and no less. Having a very sensitive ear means that I tend to get headaches from brostep and a good chunk of dubstep(and I in general dislike it.) but pop in just about anything else, that is done by an artist who knows what they're doing, make sure it's an instrumental track(or at least has very little vocals.) and I'll love it.

I have attempted to write a few pieces of music myself, but I cannot figure out how to put together a good melody for the life of me. As a result, most of it is re-done MIDI files, or re-hashed mix-ups of other tracks. And I think it sounds pretty good. I just want to do something with music that can be professionally done.

Being a guy who loves to solve out logic, I have a decent gift for mathematics and programming, and could probably even put together a decent, yet shoddy, game or something with just a few hours of my time. Being somebody who loves logic, I have a very strong interest in music due to its form-fitting contradictions with it.

Not too long ago, I dug up some speakers(the things are older than me, lol) that actually have very good audio quality, and go up to VERY high volume. They even have a muffle dial, which I love playing with. I've found that I can have lots of fun messing around with the beats of songs, muffling certain notes.

I also recently got myself a laptop out of my storage shed. It's broken, but the issue is software based, and one of my friends happens to have an install disk for Windows XP, Vista and 7. Sweet.

Finally, I know of another set of speakers which are the same model as the ones I dug out of my family's storage shed at my grandparents' house. They also have a couple of turntables, although one of them's an old bulky monstrosity, and the other is pretty low quality.

Do you think I seem like the kind of person who should check out getting a cheap board(damn, I have what it's really called on the tip of my tounge.), and seeing what I can do?
