Anybody do podcasts? If so post them here so i can have a listen!

Me and a mate are looking to start doing a Podcast on a monthly basis just for the local community that is always on our cases for 'new mixes'.

I have been looking into it and seems quite straight forward but at the same time a bit complicated..

Yep. I'm thinking about bringing it back bit by bit.

One thing at a time here though, too many projects!

There are many ways to go about publishing/producing a podcast. I think the key is to record in a way which you keep editing to a minimum. Editing is what kills me, the rest is cheese.

Cheers man, didn't know DJF had a podcast.. will give it all a listen. I would probably keep editing minimum, but a good little side project for me along with the producing tracks me and my mate will be doing.

btw following you on Soundcloud now. :)

Yeah man, my goal is to do no editing. You see, even though we have non-linear DAW's now, you still have to listen and edit a podcast in a linear fashion in order to understand the context of what's being said. For me that was important so I could segment the podcast into subjects/topics/stuff. Major pain!

I've got two followers on soundcloud, they are but lonely souls from obscure parts of the world who happened upon my music and was touched by it. I feel that is far more meaningful than NPC's E-whoring.

Thought about it.

Although the worst part for me is having listeners.

If I trust my own experience, I prefer listening to music I just bought than to a podcast. Maybe it's my DJ side that explains this, but I don't think I'd have time to listen to podcasts when I can't even keep up on what's new everyday (not a full time DJ). I feel like listeners will do the same. They'll just scroll fast through the podcast until they find a tune they like, and then skip to the next one, etc. (personal opinion here).

Checking out the podcasts suggested as from now.. Always good to get new music to listen to..

@SignalLost, i understand what your saying, the attention span of the people that keep asking for mixes is quite varied but i always get feedback which to me means it's worth while making. Some people benefit from it, some people don't i suppose.

@Buddy, nothing wrong with e-whoring :) I sometimes follow people that i have little intention on listening to their music just to show support.. Even though i do sometimes having a listen. But i also enjoy finding random followers or following random people that produce good music but zero idea who they are.
