How Do I Set Up My New DJ Business?

Hey Guys,
I know before 2.0 there was a FAQ section on taxes and setting up your DJ business. Now that my financials are in order, I want to know how do I get the official process of owning my DJ Business going? How do you guys have yours set up? I'm sure this will string into another million questions so admins please put this in the appropriate section. Thanks in advance for helping me out guys

What gear are you ordering? Hope you have insurance covered on your gear, as I don't and I've had many close calls already. I assume you're mobile, as well?

Go to your State's Secretary of State Web Site - that's usually a great place to start if your SOS has done a good job of streamlining registering your business. Get a FEIN from the Feds (irs.gov) so you can open a separate checking account. Get an accountant to do your books if you're no good at that stuff. Keep all receipts, record all income, and use your business checking account for only business transactions.
