Ok, so I have been beat matching by ear pretty good latley..
But today, the longer I waited to jump into the mix did I realize my two songs would drift away from one another...
Is this normal? And what is it that im doing wrong? Both records BPM's are pretty dead on.
Well one might be like #90 and the other #90.1-90.2 <<<<<<<<SERATO..
Any tips?

If you're wondering what you're doing wrong, learn to "ride the pitch".
Use the pitch fader constantly, and rub the turntable's nipple...no matter how dirty it feels.

er, it just means you aren't perfectly matched.
Most of us ride the pitch at least a little bit.

Any tips?90.1 BPM will travel further than 90 BPM in the same amount of time.

it happens man but that just means your ears are growing! meaning your hearing your mistakes and adjusting to it.
adjust the vinyl or platter. sometimes u gotta twist the nipple a bit :P

All of the above. Keep tweaking and practicing. I've seen many a world known DJ riding pitch. No-ones perfect ;-)

Use your ears instead of reading what the screen says, you'll get there eventually...

I prefer to "pinch the nipple" on the faster track

Here comes more of the same. Unless you have a computer doing your beatmatching for you, that is the name of the game. Just keep an ear on your mix and correct the drifts as they occur.

i prefer to make small adjustments with the pitch. it is less harsh if you go a little too far or if you go in the wrong direction.

Practise, and keep practicing. Even though Serato does not have sync, it does show you the waves, do not look at the waves. The best practise for me is to just be in a dark room, and close my eyes, I do all my beatmatching by ear. Try to beatmatch for at least 10 min, and learn how to nudge your record and ride the pitch.

What turntables are you using? If they are shitty numarks like mine then you have to remember that they don't spin at a constant rate and have a pretty bad wow and flutter. (i think mine is sometimes up to .4% which is incredibly noticeable.. sucks being poor eh?)
If you have technics or something comparable the wow and flutter i think is less than .1% but im not sure. Point is, better turntables helps keep you matched.

Im using technics 1200's. I tried riding the pitch and twisting the "Nipple" this week...Lets just say its working...Yeee!
Also, Ill never depend on the BPM stated next to the track in my library because its not always accurate.

I am a super noob. Please explain all types of twisting, tweaking and sucking on the so called "nipple". lol. I used a cdj350 and rely on the BPM output all the time. I too notice that the beat drifts.

There is no spindle or "nipple" on a cdj. You use the jog wheel to nudge or drag the tracks back into sync if they drift. If the drifts are happening frequently, you should make a corresponding adjustment on the pitch fader after you nudge or drag the jog wheel. I suggest you try covering up the bpm and pitch % display for a while if you really want to train your ears.

I don't know what "riding the pitch" is but I definitely twist the nipple or rub the sides of the platter
no sync in serato
Sync doesn't stop drifting in Traktor when using control vinyl.

always listen in your can and reference your mix, fixing it aprox every 4 or 8 beats(is what I do)
When you nudge, just don't do it off beat or on a track with an ambience or its very noticeable.

Riding the pitch in a nut shell: If Track B is going little slower than Track A you move the pitch for Track B up a little more than necessary so it catches up quickly and as soon as you hear it line up you drop it down again to where it should be.... So, say your Track B pitch is at +1.0% and is slowly starting to lag behind, you might pitch up to somewhere around +3.0% or +4.0% and as soon as it catches up you put your pitch back down to somewhere between 1% and 2% (remember it was lagging behind, no point going all the way back down to 1% or it will lag again). If you go a little too far and it's faster now, you drop the bitch lower than necessary to slow it down.
Riding the pitch is less audible then touching the record, platter, or "nipple", and can be don't constantly during a mix with a free hand if you're experiencing really bad wow and flutter.
It is also possible to do your initial beat matching this way without ever touching the platter and there are plenty of people that do it that way.
(TL;DR: Riding the bitch is like "pitch bending" but you're doing it with the pitch control not +/- buttons)

This. Try hiding the waveforms and practicing without them. Let's be honest, being able to waveride and stare at the bpm counters is basically sync.

wouldn't know
