Watching that literally gave me chills. I mean I knew most of the samples he had used when it first came out, but just the layering to make it all work still amazes me, 38 years old, and this is the shit that made hip-hop real.

i started using that 808 trick since i saw the vide. i.e using the tail end of the 808 instead of the whole thing. adds some nice sub without being too boomy.
